Viking Energy – multipurpose workboat

The Viking Energy, built in 2019, is a DP-I shallow draft multipurpose workboat of 26.48 by 11.00 meters.

The twin Caterpillar engines delivering 1.940 kW which results in approx. 35,0 tons bollard pull. In combination with the DP-I Dynamic Positioning system, minimal draft, the 250 kW bow thruster and twin fixed propellers in nozzles, gives the vessel maximum maneuverability.

The strong HEILA marine forward deck crane with a maximum lift capacity of 9,8 tons(m) at 16,5 meters, the HEILA marine aft. deck crane with a maximum lift capacity of 10,0 tons(m) at 12,3 meters, the two towing/anchor handling winches of 50 and 100 tons (pull), a 15 tons tugger winch, and a maximum clear deck area, makes the vessel more than multifunctional and definitely one of a kind. All deck equipment is running on biodegradable lubricant oil.

For survey purposes she is equipped with: Primary navigation 2x Fugro seastar 9205 GNSS Receivers / Heading: 2x Anschutz 30 MF Gyro compass / Roll & pitch sensors. All feeded by a port plug.

Options are 4-Point mooring system with 4 hydraulic winches and anchors, a Mass flow system for subsea cable burial or ROV upon request.
