Ports of Jersey has reported growth in both air and sea passenger numbers during the summer season continuing the positive momentum achieved in the first half of the year.

Between July and September, more than 472,000 passengers travelled through Jersey Airport, representing a 4.2% increase compared to the same period in 2025, and almost 200,000 passengers travelled through Jersey Harbour, with DFDS up 10% compared to Q3 last year.

Paul Holley, Head of Connectivity at Ports of Jersey, said “The third quarter is our busiest period of the year, and it’s encouraging to see sustained growth through both our air and sea gateways with visitors making the most of the great Jersey summer.

“This period was supported by higher frequencies on key services such as KLM’s Amsterdam route, alongside Loganair’s first full summer with routes to Bordeaux, East Midlands, Norwich and Paris added to its core network.”

Jersey Airport welcomed its one millionth passenger of 2026 at the end of August. The airport also offered direct connectivity to 41 destinations across the UK and Europe, giving residents and visitors an excellent range of summer travel options, while airlines continued to invest in Jersey’s route network, supporting a schedule of up to 185 departing flights each week.

The Harbour also enjoyed a positive summer, with DFDS welcoming 10% more passengers than in Q3 2025 across its network of routes from Jersey.

Paul added, “Maintaining strong connectivity is vital to our island’s economy and community.  We truly value the partnerships we continue to develop with our airline and ferry partners and appreciate their continued support in delivering these services throughout the summer season.”
