- July air passengers up 4.5% compared to July 2025

The positive growth in air and sea passenger traffic reported during Q2 has continued into July, with Ports of Jersey reporting more than 158,000 passengers travelling through Jersey Airport, representing a 4.5% increase compared to July last year. A 2% increase in passengers using the harbour during the same period also represents continued growth of ferry services.
Paul Holley, Head of Connectivity at Ports of Jersey, said: “Strong year-round connectivity is essential for island life, supporting both our community and economy. During the summer months, we see a particularly welcome increase in travel opportunities, with more routes, more flights and greater choice for islanders.
“Whether it’s direct services to popular holiday destinations, connections into major European cities, or increased links with the UK, these services provide greater choice and strengthen Jersey’s accessibility from across the UK and Europe supporting our visitor economy.”
July marked an important milestone for connectivity at the airport, with KLM increasing its Amsterdam service from a weekly to a daily service, a schedule that continues throughout August. Following the launch of Loganair’s Bordeaux route in late June, July was also the first full month to benefit from up to six flights a week to France.
Passenger traffic through Jersey Harbour has maintained the positive momentum seen in the second quarter. Services operated by DFDS, Islands Unlimited and Manche Îles Express continue to provide frequent and reliable connections to the UK, France and inter-island with an overall increase of 2% of sea passengers in July compared to last year. This growth was supported by particularly strong demand on DFDS’ St Malo route, which recorded a 16% increase in passenger numbers year-on-year.
Paul added: “We’re pleased to see the positive start to the summer season continue into July with more than 68,000 passengers traveling through the harbour, driven by demand from island residents and visitors alike.”
