About Elizabeth Terminal

There is now one passenger terminal at St Helier Harbour, Elizabeth Terminal, which is served by both Condor Ferries and Manches Iles Express.

Elizabeth Terminal operates year-round passenger and car ferry services, offering a range of services and facilities available to both departing and arriving passengers.

Opening hours

Elizabeth Terminal is open when there are sailings, normally from 6am – 10pm in the summer and 6am – 9pm in the winter. However, these timings are flexible as it will remain open until the last passenger vessel has departed.


Facilities available to passengers at the Elizabeth Terminal include:

  • baby changing facilities landside and in the baggage reclaim hall
  • cash machine (English sterling) – located outside the building
  • drinks machines
  • newsagents and gift shop
  • photo booth
  • toilets (including disabled)

Food and drink

The Shipyard will be open two hours before the departure of  Condor’s Liberation and Rapide ferries only. This will be a ‘grab and go’ service, operated by Café Ubé, our food & beverage franchise partner, part of the successful JPRestaurants brand.

Ferry and tour operators

Condor Ferries operates regular passenger and car ferry services to the following destinations:

  • Guernsey
  • Poole
  • Portsmouth
  • St Malo

Manches Iles Express will operate from Elizabeth Terminal from summer 2021, operating passenger only services to France and the other Channel Islands.

Departing from Elizabeth Terminal

Foot passengers

Foot passengers must check-in no later than 45 minutes before the scheduled sailing. Once you’ve received your boarding cards, you should wait in the main hall until you’re called though to security. You should listen carefully to any announcements.

Car passengers

Car passengers must check-in no later than 1 hour before the scheduled sailing. Once you’ve received your boarding cards, you’ll be directed to a lane.

If you leave your car to go to the terminal, you must ensure you listen carefully to any announcements.

Approximately 40 minutes before departure, cars will go through to security. Cars with disabled passengers must switch on their hazard lights when approaching security.

Arriving at Elizabeth Terminal

On arrival in the terminal building, passengers from Saint Malo will be required to clear immigration. UK passengers and cleared international passengers will then proceed into the baggage reclaim / arrivals hall.

Public parking

The car park at Elizabeth Terminal has 90 spaces available, with 24 hour access. Paycards or the Pay by Phone app must be used in this car park daily (including Bank Holidays) between the hours of 8am to 8pm.

The underground car park at the Waterfront complex (approximately five minutes walk away) has over 120 spaces, with 24 hour access. This is a collect ticket and pay on exit car park.

Disabled parking

There are three spaces near the entrance. Drivers must display a valid disabled badge and appropriate method of payment; normal charges apply.

In the main car park opposite the Elizabeth Terminal, the parking limit for disabled drivers is 12 hours in any 24 hours.

Bicycle parking

There are bicycle racks available in front of Elizabeth Terminal. Parking is free but owners are advised to ensure their bicycle is secure as we cannot accept responsibility for any subsequent loss, theft or damage.

Buses | taxis | hire cars

The public bus station is in Liberation Station at Liberty Wharf and is approx ten minutes walk from the Elizabeth Terminal. The public bus service is operated by LibertyBus and offers a year-round island-wide service.

A taxi rank is situated approximately 50 feet from the terminal. Taxis are available during sailings, however you may wish to pre-book a taxi, as availability can be limited at times.

Hire car companies will meet passengers at the terminal and transfer them to their depot.
