Boat hoisting and storage
The hoist section operates all year round. There are two hoists, both of which operate three hours either side of high water, seven days a week:
- a 65 ton ‘Wise’ dock hoist capable of lifting vessels up to 25 metres in length with a maximum beam of up to 6.2 metres
- a 25 ton ‘Wise’ slipway hoist capable of lifting vessels up to 15 metres in length with a maximum beam of up to 4.0 metres
During peak season months (from November to May) there is a waiting list.

Boat storage
Boat storage is available at La Collette Boat Park. Prior notice to the Hoist Office is required in order to ensure availability and allocate a space. You can access this via the main vehicle gate 24/7 by using a valid barrier pass. This swipe card is available from the Marine Leisure Centre. It is strictly prohibited to sleep onboard any vessel within a POJ Boat Park
If you already have a swipe card, then you can have it updated for access to the boat park by taking the card to the Marine Leisure Centre.
