Berths and moorings in St Helier

Pontoon (wet) mooring facilities

Jersey Marinas provide pontoon mooring facilities for over 1,150 craft across our three St Helier marinas.

Over 900 berths are leased on annual contracts for both local and non-local craft.

A further 250 berths are available for visiting and holding craft. These can also be leased on monthly contracts.

Monthly summer and winter contracts are also available for local and non-local craft. Summer monthly contracts run from 1 May to 30 September each year (restrictions apply during July / August in St Helier Marina). Winter contracts run from 1 October to 30 April each year.

Albert Pontoons

The 25m Albert Pontoon Finger Berth Policies were developed with stakeholders for the allocation and management of the Albert berths. The primary driver for the installation of the berths was to enhance and support the growth of the marine industry. The policies include the initial allocation and the ongoing waitlist and allocation policy.

Drying (dry) moorings

There are over 500 drying moorings within the St Helier historical harbour at the old Commercial Quay (Old Harbour).

These moorings range in size from dinghy and outhaul moorings to ground chain and riser buoy moorings. These moorings permit fore and aft anchoring for craft up to 14 metres in length.

Deep and fin keeled yachts can moor within the old harbour via specially constructed yacht cradles, which support the craft when dry.

Applying for moorings in St Helier

If you’re thinking about buying a boat or mooring your craft in one of the marinas in St Helier, you will need to complete a waiting list application form and return it to Jersey Marinas along with the appropriate fee. Demand for both pontoon and drying moorings in St Helier is very high.
