  • Air passengers increased 1.9% in Q2 vs 2025
  • Increased capacity and connectivity
  • Strong French connection with flights to Bordeaux, Brest and Paris
  • Sea passengers grew 7.9% in Q2 vs 2025, with DFDS up 20% in May

Ports of Jersey has reported that the strong growth in passenger numbers seen in Q1 has continued into Q2, with both air and sea travel volumes increasing compared to the same period in 2025. During Q2, 400,000 travellers passed through Jersey Airport – an increase of 1.9% year-on-year.

This positive momentum reflects enhanced capacity and improved connectivity. KLM now connects Jersey to Amsterdam and its global network, while Loganair has added new services to Bordeaux and Paris. Together with Finistair’s Brest route, Jersey now benefits from up to six weekly flights to France. Jet2 continues to expand, with more growth planned for 2027, and easyJet has launched flights to London Southend.

Paul Holley, Head of Connectivity at Ports of Jersey, said, “Enhanced connectivity is vital in providing greater choice and flexibility for islanders, while also creating more opportunities for visitors to experience everything our island has to offer, supporting our visitor economy. We’re delighted to see the positive growth in passenger numbers from Q1 continue into Q2, with 400,000 passengers travelling through the airport during this period, an increase of 1.9% when compared to 2025. Looking ahead, we’re confident this encouraging trend will continue throughout the summer.”

Sea travel has also seen encouraging growth, with harbour passenger numbers rising in Q2 compared to the same period last year. Paul added, “We’re equally pleased to report growth in sea passenger numbers during Q2. May was particularly strong for DFDS with passengers up 20% compared to 2025, and alongside the welcome return of summer services from Islands Unlimited and Manche Îles Express. This all contributed to an overall increase of 7.9% in Q2, which equates to an extra 10,000 passengers when compared with 2025.”
