A new parking system has been launched at Jersey Airport which is already being used by more than 500 customers. It allows passengers to pre-book a parking space online up to a year in advance of their travel date. Those who pre-book and pay online will benefit from access to promotional offers.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to redesign parking, improve road safety measures, and enhance the usability of the airport’s parking facilities.
Bookings can be made online and can be amended or cancelled up to 24 hours before the date of travel, providing flexibility for travellers.
It is also possible to book Fast Track through security using the same booking system, and in the future more airport services will be available on this platform.
Airport Operations Director, Ashley Maggs, (Mr) said: “We are working to create a customer-friendly airport experience, which is fit for the needs and expectations of the modern traveller. We hope the ability to book parking online will provide peace of mind for travellers using our airport, and we look forward to offering more services online in the future.”
From Monday 12 May customers will need to pre-book parking online to access promotional rates. Passengers who turn up to park without booking online will be charged at the standard rate of £1 per hour.
Free pick-up and drop-off
It remains free to use the main car park for 30 minutes when fetching or dropping off passengers. The drop-off area, which should not be used for parking or picking passengers up, also remains free to use.
There are designated parking spaces for disabled badge holders and passengers with reduced mobility are welcome to book special assistance, which is free of charge.
There is also a bicycle rack in the Car Rental parking area.
