Ports of Jersey is pleased to announce that Rok Construction has been appointed as the principal contractor for the first phase of the upcoming redevelopment of Jersey Airport’s Departure Lounge.
Following a competitive tender process, Rok Construction was selected for its proven track record of delivering complex, high-profile projects on-island, including recent developments in healthcare, education, and the private sector. Their appointment marks a significant milestone in the delivery of this transformative project, which will modernise the Departure Lounge, enhance the passenger experience, and reflect Jersey’s unique identity.
Stephen King, Chief Operating Officer of Ports of Jersey, commented: “We’re delighted to be working with Rok Construction. Their experience in delivering large-scale builds in operational environments, combined with their strong local presence, makes them an ideal partner for this project. We’re confident they’ll deliver a space that works for passengers, staff, and our wider airport community.”
Founded in Jersey in 2007, Rok has a strong reputation for quality, collaboration, and supporting local employment. Their team will lead the first phase of the redevelopment works, carefully planned to minimise disruption and maintain airport operations throughout.
Rok Construction Director, Kevan Nelson, said: “It’s an honour to be appointed as the main contractor for the first part of this project. The redevelopment of the Departure Lounge is a key investment in Jersey’s future, and we’re proud to play our part. Our team is fully committed to delivering a high-quality result while keeping disruption to a minimum.”
Construction will begin this month and continue in phases through to 2027. World Duty Free and other key facilities will remain open throughout.
