Jersey Airport is expecting to welcome 20,000 departing and arriving passengers between Friday 19 December and Monday 22 December as the busy Christmas travel period starts. Friday and Monday will the busiest days and to ensure a smooth start airport doors will open earlier than usual, at 5:00am.
Passengers are kindly asked to always arrive in plenty of time to check in, clear security, and relax before boarding.
“Christmas is one of the most exciting times of the year for travel, and we want everyone to start their journey stress-free. By opening earlier on Friday and Monday and encouraging passengers to arrive in good time, we’re making sure the festive getaway is as smooth as possible. We thank everyone for planning ahead during this busy period.” said Sarah-Louise Stubbs, Head of Customer Experience & Terminal Operations.
As well as arriving in plenty of time, passengers are also reminded not to wrap any presents in hand luggage as they need to be opened at security and not to travel with any Christmas crackers or party poppers.
