The 2025 Barclays Jersey Boat Show starts this Saturday (3 May) and offers a wide range of activities and entertainment for every age group. It will showcase the Island’s maritime community, from paddleboards and kayaks to luxury yachts and motor cruisers – as well as all the gadgets and services that enhance life on the water.
This year the show will also feature professional flyboard rider, James Prestwood, who will be performing in the harbour in front of Albert Pier.
He will be strapped into boots attached to a board, which is connected to a 23-metre hose. The other end of the hose connects to a 300-horsepower jet ski which can push the board 18 metres into the air. James controls the jet ski’s throttle from the air, using a remote control. He will be performing tricks like back flips, spins, twists, dolphin dives and slaloms.
Flyboarding demonstrations are on Saturday and Sunday at:
- 30am to 12pm
- 2pm to 2.30pm
- 4pm to 4.30pm
And on Monday at:
