Jersey Marinas will once again be showcasing its award-winning facilities at the annual Southampton Boat Show, which starts next Friday 14 September and continues until Sunday 23 September 2018.

Following a successful partnership in 2017 Jersey Marinas is once again teaming up again with marina colleagues from  the APPB (Association of Ports de Plaisance de Brittany) as well as Normandy, Guernsey and Alderney and its stand will be in The Ocean Hall, J086 under the banner "Welcome to the finest cruising ground in Northern Europe".

For over 25 years Jersey Marinas has attended this prestigious show, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018. This year Jersey Marinas has taken the lead in managing the joint stand and bringing all the partners together in a prime space at Britain’s’ biggest boat show. Group Leisure Manager for Ports of Jersey, Mike Tait, who has responsibility for Jersey Marinas, says, "Without doubt the Southampton Boat Show is the most prestigious event for boating enthusiasts, attracting tens of thousands of visitors over the 10-days. Therefore, it is the perfect opportunity for Jersey Marinas to showcase our facilities to a captive audience while working closely with our marina partners to promote our mutual cruising waters. 2018 has been a very successful year so far for us at Jersey Marinas; having not only retained our 5 Gold Anchor* status for the 13th consecutive year but enjoying another successful year with our Passeport Escales initiative, attracting a number of new visiting yachtsmen from across Europe. And of course we ‘re delighted that St Helier Marina was voted ‘2018 Coastal Marina of the Year’ by our customers, which is such a tremendous honour. The team therefore will be attending Southampton this year with an extra spring in our step".

During the 10-day show as well as meeting with customers it will also be an opportunity to meet with existing and potential traders who may wish to exhibit at the 2019 Barclays Jersey, which takes place next spring and will be formally launched later in September when exhibitor registrations open.

* The Gold Anchor scheme is jointly administered by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) and the Marina Industries Association (MIA) with the objective of raising marina standards and providing customer focused services. 5-Star Gold Anchor status has been awarded to St Helier Marina, Elizabeth Marina and La Collette for the 13th consecutive year in early 2018.
