In the summer, Albert Terminal is open daily from 6am – 10pm or until the last passenger vessel has departed, whichever is earlier.
In the winter the service is restricted and will open around the shipping companies’ office hours.
The Quayside café is open from 6am to 3pm, seven days a week.
Facilities available to passengers at the Albert Terminal include:
- café (outside the terminal)
- cash machines (follow the blue line in front of the terminal to Elizabeth Terminal for access)
- baby changing facilities are available once you have passed security

Departing from Albert Terminal
Foot passengers must check-in no later than 45 minutes before the scheduled sailing. Once you’ve received your boarding cards, you should wait in the main hall until you’re called though to security. You should listen carefully to any announcements.
Arriving at Albert Terminal
On arrival in the terminal building, passengers from Saint Malo, Carteret and Granville will be required to clear immigration. Guernsey, Sark and cleared international passengers will then proceed into the baggage reclaim / arrivals hall.
Passengers transferring to Condor Ferries
Passengers transferring to Condor Ferries to Guernsey, Poole, Weymouth or Saint Malo should follow the blue line to the right of the main entrance.
The car park at Elizabeth Terminal has 90 spaces available, with 24 hour access. Paycards must be used in this car park between the hours of 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Saturday (including bank holidays).
The underground car park at the Waterfront complex (approximately 2 minutes walk away) has over 120 spaces, with 24 hour access. This is a collect ticket and pay on exit car park.
There are also a few time restricted spaces, as follows:
- 20-minute parking disc zone in front of Elizabeth Terminal and on the Albert Pier (opposite Lifeboat Café)
- 10-minute parking disc zone in front of the Quayside café on the Albert Pier
- 1-hour parking disc zone is available alongside the sea wall opposite the Elizabeth terminal car park
Parking discs must be used in these spaces.
There is no long term parking on the Albert Pier.
There are three spaces opposite The Shipyard, Harbour Café at the Elizabeth Terminal. Drivers must display a valid disabled badge and appropriate parking disc.
In the main car park opposite the Elizabeth Terminal the parking limit for disabled drivers is 12 hours in any 24 hours. Drivers must display a valid disabled bade and scratchcard, which will give two hours parking per unit.
There is one space available adjacent to the Quayside Café.
Buses / taxis / hire cars
The central bus station is approximately 10 minutes walk from the terminal. The public bus station is located in Liberation Station at Liberty Wharf and is approx seven minutes walk from the Elizabeth Terminal. The public bus service is operated by LibertyBus and offers a year-round island-wide service. A taxi rank is situated in front of the terminal, or taxis can be booked prior to arrival.
Europcar has a depot at the terminal. Other hire car companies will meet passengers at the terminal and transfer them to their depot.
