Popular board sports undertaken in the island include surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and paddle boarding. Before heading out, consider these top tips.
- It is a good idea to get proper tuition before heading out on your own. There are a number of schools in the island that can teach you these sports.
- Make sure your equipment is in good condition and attach any leashes securely.
- Check weather and tide conditions. Know your limits!
- Always tell someone ashore of your intentions and never go alone, always go with a companion or in a group.
