First Cruise call of 2019 expected
From Port of Jersey,
17 April 2019
Jersey is set to welcome its first
cruise call of 2019 when MS-Hamburg sails into Island waters on the morning of Thursday
18 April 2019.
The Island is one of the final
ports of calls for the cruise liner, which was built in 1997 and refurbished in
2012 as it has already visited the Canary Islands, Spain, Portugal and France. The
ship will anchor in St Aubin’s Bay and passenger tenders will operate onto the
Albert Pier pontoons in St Helier Harbour throughout the morning. 318
passengers are expected to be on-board, predominantly German nationals.
The ship is due to depart Jersey
waters at approximately 1:30pm on Thursday afternoon en-route to Dover.
Jersey is expected to welcome up to
15 cruise visits in summer 2019.
